Login Facebook – Most people leave their Facebook account permanently logged in on their home or personal computer, so whenever they go to Facebook.com, they are taken immediately to their newsfeed, along with any new notifications or message alerts. So if they suddenly need to login to Facebook on another computer – or even a different browser on the same computer – they might not know exactly what they need to do.
In this article, we’ve got some simple, step by step instructions that show you how to login on Facebook on any computer with an internet connection. Just a reminder: these steps are for people who have already created a Facebook account – if you haven’t, we have a different post just for you.
Your first step to login to Facebook is to go to the home page at Facebook.com. If you see a sort of welcome screen with a blank registration form, you’re in the right place.
If you see a news feed filled with someone else’s stuff, you’ll need to log them out. If that person happens to be available, you can ask them to sign out so you can sign in, or you can sign them out yourself by clicking on the tiny profile picture in the corner and then selecting “sign out”. If you really don’t want to log the other person out, you can try a different internet program (for example, use Internet Explorer instead of Firefox).
Once you see the registration form, all you have to do is look up at the very top of the screen. In the blue bar (where you would normally look for your Facebook notifications) is the Facebook login form. You’ll need to enter the email address or phone number that you used to sign up, followed by your password. If it’s a shared computer, make sure the “keep me signed in” box is un-checked.
Finally, click “login” and you’re in!
